All fruit for our 2002, 2003, and 2005 wines is sourced from the well known Seven Hills vineyard. Wineries such as Leonetti, Le’Ecole, Woodward Canyon and Grande Ronde also source fruit from this outstanding vineyard. Some of the vines are 25 years old. The vineyard is carefully managed with an emphasis on high quality fruit and sustainable and ecologically safe farming practices. The vines are pruned back to yield about two tons per acre of fruit in pursuit of quality, as opposed to other vineyards yielding up to six tons seeking quantity. The fruit clusters are handpicked at harvest.
The wine is aged in all French oak, and we typically use about 40% new, 30% 1yr, and 30% 2 yr, for 18-22 months, then bottle. The wine is aged until near its peak before release. Emvy’s wine release dates may be the oldest release date of any Spokane area winery, with our 2003 released in May, 2009, and our 2005 released in November, 2010.
2002 Devotion
Blend: 56% Cabernet~44% Merlot

The 2002 is drinking very well right now and is a beautiful wine at its peak. It is supple, well balanced, with tones of black cherry, black currant, and earthiness.
2003 Devotion
Blend: 53% Cabernet~47% Merlot
Fruit: Seven Hills Vineyard ~ Walla Walla Valley
2003 is more robust and structured compared to the 2002 “Devotion” blend. It has great depth and good tannins. This wine is a beautiful example of the fruits harvested from the Seven Hills Vineyard.
2003 has very bright flavors, is very cherry on the nose and palette, with notes of black currant, dark chocolate, smoke and a hint of green pepper. This wine is earthy in character and will likely drink well through 2015.
2005 Devotion
Blend: 58% Cabernet~42% Merlot
Fruit: Seven Hills Vineyard ~ Walla Walla, Valley
This wine has notes of dark cherry and vanilla on the nose combined with earthy undertones and hint’s of cedar and spice.
This structured and balanced Bordeaux is drinking very well now, and may improve with more aging. EMVY ’05 will likely drink into the year 2018.
2006 Devotion
Emvy Cellars 2006 Devotion adds outstanding Pepperbridge Vineyards fruit to the traditional blocks we source from Seven Hills. This elegant Bordeaux style blend is a small batch, artisan wine barreled in 100%, high-quality French Oak and bottled aged to perfection. Enjoy a few bottles with friends.

This elegant Bordeaux style blend reflects interesting subtleties and character provided by adding small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Malbec to the blend. Emvy creates small batch, artisan wine that is barreled in 100% French oak and bottle aged to perfection. Enjoy a few bottles with friends.
